Extracurricular Activities

Inskip offers several after school and extracurricular opportunities. Through these clubs and others, students have the opportunity to expand their classroom learning, get to know peers with similar interests, and explore new skills.

Each day students run the morning announcements. They highlight the weather, optional food choices at lunch, and important daily reminders.

Track & Field

Each year, students represent the school at the district track and field competition.

Safety Patrol

Students are selected by staff members to monitor the hallways, open car doors, and assist the school in a variety of duties. 

Garden Club

The Youth Garden Education Program through the Knox County Community Garden & Growers Alliance partners with our school to offer curricular enrichment by leading and supporting daytime outdoor lessons and onsite field trips in our outdoor spaces. They also lead and support our after school garden club that meets two times per week for students who attend our YMCA program.

Kindness Ambassadors

Kindness Ambassadors are a leadership role here at Inskip Elementary. Kindness Ambassadors are selected for their friendly, outgoing, leadership, and of course, kind characteristics they display everyday at school.

As a Kindness Ambassador they will be responsible for participating in various monthly activities to help spread Kindness as well as complete/lead small jobs throughout the whole school year.

Some Various Activities Kindness Ambassadors are Responsible for Throughout the School Year:

  • Help acclimate new students in their class to Inskip
  • Running the Kindness Card “make and take” Table during Valentines week
  • Making cards for the elderly and veterans
  • Campus clean-up
  • Show new students around the school
  • Pet needs drive
  • Dogwood Arts Chalk Walk
  • Spread awareness of the Buddy Bench
  • Help plan for "Kindness Spirit Week"
